Welcome to Southwestern Ohio Basketball
We have been running the top youth basketball leagues, tourneys and clinics in the entire Midwest for almost 30 years. We also offer ball handling and fundamentals clinics, summer camps and AAU programs. In the 2023-2024 season, over 2600 teams from the entire Tri-state participated in our basketball leagues and tourneys and over 30,000 compete in our sponsored events.

5th Grade Boys Cincinnati Royals Tryouts: We will be holding tryouts for our 5th Grade Boys Cincinnati Royals team on August 25th and 28th from 6:00-7:15 PM. These will take place at Queen City Raquet Club in Sharonville between the Sharonville Convention Center and Princeton High School (11275 Chester Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45246). Southwestern Ohio Basketball (SWOB) Press Release:
After 16 and a half years of operating out of the Landmark Church facility, Southwestern Ohio Basketball (SWOB) announces it will be transitioning out of the building at the end of July 2025. Despite this change, SWOB remains fully committed to continuing its legacy as the Midwest’s longest-running youth basketball event operator.
Founded in 1995 by Tom Sunderman and Mike Buckle, SWOB began with a single gym in Northside and has developed into a cornerstone of youth sports in the Midwest, offering high-quality, affordable basketball leagues, tournaments, and training for thousands of young athletes. SWOB is proud to be the region’s longest-running youth basketball event operator.
SWOB has hosted over 15,000 teams in their leagues, 28,000 teams in their tournaments, and 14,000 youth in camps and clinics over the past three decades.
What’s Next for SWOB?
SWOB will continue to operate its full slate of programs, including:

FALL LEAGUE - Our Fall League will consist of a 10-game schedule to be held September 4th through October 26th (October 19th for Jr. High and HS Girls). Games will be held on Thursdays/Fridays from 5:30 - 9:30 PM, and Saturdays/Sundays from 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM. Games will be held primarily at Courts 4 Sports and Sports of All Sorts. FALL KINGS PLAYER SIGN UP - We are offering a program for those individual players who cannot make the AAU commitment but are looking to improve their game this fall. No tryout necessary. All Teams will play in our 10-game fall league at Courts 4 Sports, including a post-season tournament. Each team will practice at least once a week. WINTER EVENTS:
WINTER LEAGUE - Southwestern Ohio Basketball has been providing the tri-state area both competitive and recreational youth basketball leagues for 29 years, longer than any other organization within 500 miles. This year will be our 30th winter league we have put on. We expect to have teams from throughout the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Ky area. We will offer 10-game leagues for both boys and girls grades 2 - 12, offering various levels of play. These leagues will take place on the weekends from December 5th - February 15th (Off December 22nd - January 2nd). We will also have a post-season tournament from February 20th - March 4th.
